airtek fuel pumps at Oriellies, Checker, every other parts store has a lifetime warranty autozone says its only one year. when asked about it says no lifetime given an parts.

this is not the first time they also said the same thing on a set of gabriel shocks. now I remember why I stopped using autozone if they wont honor warranties for a shop who buys from them I wonder how many people they have ripped off by not honoring the warranties this is a deceptive trade practice but unless you can keep their receipts from fading or print out the warranties at the time of purchase because if they stop carrying the brand they wall always weasel out of it

if this falls under warranty they will replace it at no charge. and yes most people abuse the parts and bring them back in bad or wornout conditions and expect someone who installed them wrong to replace them at their expense.

i own a locksmith company and give 30 days on all remotes because of this. im not going to replace someones incompetence or abusive actions. most of the time the customers are lying to the employees about the matter. just saying.

if you bring me in a remote control and it was working when i sold it to you and i find coke spilt on the electronics or a busted off transistor that is not my fault that is your fault.

im sure nice as autozone is they will replace it anyways. good luck

You are incorrect... not every fuel pump sold comes with a "LIMITED" lifetime warrany.

Some come with 1 year warranty's and some even come with no warranty. At some stores, if you buy the fuel pump without buying the strainer, the pump has absolutely no warranty, and why should it?

If you are going to take this new pump home and replace it without changing out the nasty fuel strainer, then why should a company eat the cost of the pump you bring back in for a swap a few weeks later. If you are in the business of making a profit and you don't assume that do-it-yourselfers are going to take shortcuts on doing repairs, then you may as well close up shop if you are going to honor warranty's where consumers don't know the ramification of their actions.
