This is the third starter that has gone out in a year. This time they say it is the battery.

It is not the battery. They will not take care of their customer! I was told from the beginning not to buy starters from Autozone, because I would be replacing them every 6 months, and I did it any way. That couldn't have been more close to the truth!!

I called another auto parts store and guess what? They are honoring my Autozone warranty and replacing it.

They just lost three loyal customers. I will never, never, ever go back!

well i have to say most likely you go back to the same store and to be honest yeah 3 starters better look for something else wrong and for the autozone workers who find its always the customer at fault arent you suppose to have some knowledge about automobiles i mean really you keep taking back the starters instead of giving advice to the customer about his problem that he should check for other problems that would most likely sell him something else that would fix his problem instead of you giving away starters so who really didnt use there head

Yeah I get people like this all the time at work. "I keep replacing the same part over and over and it's not fixing it!

You guys suck!" A starter is an electric motor with what is essentially a switch mounted on top of it. It isn't rocket science, and there isn't much to really go wrong with them. And unless you bought the very most expensive one, it's rebuilt. As in, the starter you bought for your Chevy or whatever, is not an AutoZone starter, but a starter from Chevy that was taken apart and then had all of the wearable components replaced.

This is why they take your original back as a "core." Driveway mechanics do this all the time, just replacing a simple part over and over again and blaming the supplier rather than fixing the actual problem. Usually it's a gasket leak that's leaking oil all over the starter, or your flywheel is in poor condition, or your electrical connections are *** AutoZone sells hundreds if not thousands of starters a day. Do you really think they would do that if every one of them is worthless?

If you think you actually got 3 duds in a row, you're kidding yourself. Get real man.

You are a complete *** to blame faulty parts on AutoZone. They are just a supplier.

If you need to blame anyone, blame the manufacturer of the starter, either Duralast or Valucraft.

Although, I agree with Sam, after 3 starters in a year, something else is wrong with your car. Quit blaming others for your stupidity.

Really dude. You put 3 starters on your car and they all went out.

What made your original go out in the first place? It is not the starter!

Everyone told you not to buy something there, and you did anyway? Sounds like you got what you paid for.
