AutoZone - Auto Zone in San Antonio Texas
I purchased a 3 yr battery at Auto Zone. Went to 3 stores and no one could even find that I bought the dang thing.
The last store I went to was where I bought the battery. The clerk told me that I would have to talk to the Manager, but he was not there. I told him that the car would not start if I had to come back to the store. Then the assistant manager hit a key to find the battery that I had purchased.
It showed that the warranty was up. No one would even look at the battery. The battery had a 2015 stamp on it and was a 3yr battery. I was so mad that I left and went to Advanced Auto.
The gentleman that help me was so courteous and helpful.
I bought the new battery there. I will never go back to Auto Zone.
Reason of review: Warranty issue.
Monetary Loss: $50.
Preferred solution: Full refund.

I work in retail and even if I didn't I would save my receipt for any warranty on any item regardless of where it was boutght as that is what is usually required. I do not expect the business to save this info for me as they sell to hundreds if not thousands of people a day.
I believe it even says on their website(at least the store I work for says to save the receipt) I see this issue as a lesson learned-- Save your receipt!!! As for the date on the battery, the clerk has no proof that you were not the original purchaser as is required by the warranty without a receipt.
