Autozone - Customer Care Review from Houston, Texas

I am a manager at auto zone and putting our customers 1st is our top priority! Selling wittdtjr items is to help our customers have the things they need to do the job right... We push those things so they do. Check out challenge is to offer sales specials to our customers at great prices. No one gets yelled at or hounded, we push these things to convenient our customers with right parts and our current sales,... It's a goal for our team members to do so. I've never been to an auto zone where I was treated rudely or was not given great customer service. Not everyone who works at ANY part store is ASE certified, but it's also a learning experience and we'll, you can't always hire the best employees for the job and it's not for everyone... But I've been treated with respect and my customers love us ad definitely over any of our competitors any day. My. Company has been great to me and I absolutely recommend employment there, it's a great company to work for. If you take your job seriously you will strive to be the best at what you are expected to do... I'm. Sorry but to me it just looks like you didn't care enough to take care of your customers and respect your management, and it is a sales position so duh.... You do have to sell. As far as bad parts, I've gotten several bad parts from orielys and Napa way before becoming a part of this team.... Lifetime warranties are on most of these parts for your convenience in case it is defective... And if you have replaced your part that many times then mechanical knowledge would lead you to the final conclusion there is an underlying cause for this pattern of parts failure. I am a woman, promoted to management within 2 months of being employed, last week was my 1 year anniversary and I'm up for asst. Manager any day, I love this company,... You obviously did not.

AutoZone Rewards is no scam...

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
You need to be smarter than a rock is all. First - You must go online and link your telephone to the account on your own - they don't usually do that for you. Then you can accumulate rewards without having the card on you. Second - You MUST have your card to redeem the rewards. The telephone link will NOT work for that. Otherwise, anyone who knew you had an account & knew your phone # could go into the store and steal your rewards. It's not rocket science - it's just common sense - It's just too bad there are so many ignorant whining idiots out there.

Autozone - Manager Review from Orlando, Florida

I too was a aurozoner and agree. No pay or "room to grow" like they say. I was pretty much forced out because evaluations coming up and there is about 5-6 store managers at my local meaning scraps would be lucky. Also the mgmt was terrible at scheduling, norm is Ties for following week but on many occasions Friday or Sat was when it was posted. I'd call in and find that I had no hours the whole following week???? Also I don't know of this is illegal type of favortism but another red shirt whom I even help train was either related or good family friend of DM so when I would be off schedule heBess getting close to full time even tho red shirt is Part time and my opinion is my store manager did this out of fear of his own job? But they pay was horrid, constant misleading and if I sell WITWITTGT items straight sasalet doesn't count toward *** selling structure.

But pay was bad not only I had to beg for hours...definite favortism but they all grey shirts anyways.....

And actually AUTOZONE doesn't car about employees more than customers. I know bad example, but many customers steal but if autozoners did something of sort then it's your head bubutont steal regardless.

Horrible business model and the separation between corporate and store staff is night and day

autozone is a good company to work for. if you work hard and show determination then you can be promoted.

i know a gentleman who was with the company only 2 years before he was promoted to store manager, and he was only 24. he just came in and worked hard and took care of every customer that came in the door, even ones who had bad experiences he went out of his way to make sure they were taken care of and was back to being happy with autozone.

hard work pays off. have a great day

WOW! I can say that we are all much dumber after reading your post.

Auto Zone battery warranty rip-off

Auto Zone battery warranty scam, rip-off.

My wife purchased a high amp battery (800-**** amp) with 3 year free replacement and it went bad in 11 months. It was replaced with a lesser battery (650-800 amp) and were told this was a better battery and that it cost more than our original purchase so we should be happy.

My wife called the store and the manager hung up on her, I called back and he hung up on me. This is clearly a rip-off but what can you do?

Well on the bright side I still have 2 years of free replacement and if this battery should run low on water and blow a cell I can get a few more lesser batteries. This battery will almost certainly go bad the last month of the free replacement warranty.

Autozone - Employee Position Review from Morrow, Ohio

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I used to work fir AutoZone now i am So upset with grand rapids, MI district manager, and payroll department. First off I have been a store manager for over 4 years with one of my previous employers. I was promised a store manager position at Autozone after a year. Then they asked me to run the commercial department. My district manager said “if you grow this department, I will get you your store manager position. Well I finished off the year positive. Grew the business 10%. Had a bad start off for the new physical year. And he took me out of commercial and put me back into assistant store manager. Then was told I had to wait another year to get my store. On the payroll side it has been a month after I took my vacation and I still have not received any vacation pay. Even after I talked to them 2 weeks ago and they said” it will be on the next paycheck”

People do it all of the time. My mom is a store manager and makes 60-80k a year.

As far as autozone, the company is awful. Customer complaints go ignored and employees get *** on if they don't fit their buddy system. In my husband's store, they currently have a manager who has been inactive since January, a guy who lives in another state currently just not working, but the gray shirt who has seniority has the audacity to say my husband isn't reliable so he will not work with his schedule. My husband was forced off of work because he was being tested for covid19.

He was called on a daily basis from either the DM trying to pressure him to work (knowing he was not to be), or that gray shirt asking for his key because he can't find his. I've had managers showing up at my home as early as 5am laying on the horn (while my kids are sleeping) because they need a key to get into the store. I also have the DM on recording saying he has employees waiting for test results working, knowing they have symptoms! That's why my husband was tested!

He still has yet to be paid his sick pay and 80 hours he worked for the paycheck before he was taken off. This was 3 pay periods ago (biweekly pay) Prior to this he asked for a raise at his review and was told if he "fixed" his facial hair they would talk about it. He was hired in by the same guy as a gray shirt with a full (kept) beard and during the interview was clean shaved with a short mustache and goatee, not any different than any other employee. He had perfect attendance prior to covid19 and the best attendance in that store.

The way they treat their employees blows my mind.

I am a business owner myself so the character this establishment displays.. just wow.

PLEASE PROOF READ BEFORE POSTING

Reading your comment about AutoZone and how Corporate runs is kinda comical. One, please proof read (check spelling) before posting a comment. No one will take you seriously if you spell raises with a "z". YOUR job is to ensure that you are SELLING the complete job. THAT includes the little packets of grease/sealer, and anything else that the customer would need for their job. THAT is what an AUTOZONER does. I've only been with the company for a very short time but in the retail world for 20 plus years. EVERY position that I've held and with the companies that I have been with we have been asked to ADD ON and PUSH product and credit. IT IS PART OF THE JOB. INSTEAD OF CREATING A PROBLEM BE THE SOLUTION AND DO WHAT IS ASKED OF YOU AND TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER.

Auto Zone will not honor warranty on $2500.00 motor?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Purchased 350 CI motor through Auto Zone, headed out to job in State Line PN. only to have rear main seal go out pouring oil out rear of motor. Have been renting a space in RV Park for 4 months trying to get motor repaired... Sure Fire (rebuilding company) requires that I use a licensed shop to repair motor; contacted Chevrolet dealership to remove and replace motor without seal replacement or inspection of journals is estimated at $1900.00. Sure Fire Rep. John says I have to pay for repair "out of pocket" take pics of removal of motor and seal. Sure fire will only pay $800.00 for repair, guess I am suppose to eat $1100.00 not to mention tow bills, space rental, loss of wages etc. Don't let these people rip you off like they did me! Bad alternator

Going on to alternator number 4!!!!!! For me it's been both autozone and advanced. Sick of it beyond belief! My replacements have within the span of a year. I've been told by mechanics that autozone and advanced electronics are junk. Well I'm going try an import shop next. It's the time and money that I'm wasting that really ticks me off. I drive a 1990 volvo 240 do and it's the ideal car for work and it's simple to work on. The time for replacement of the alternator is getting down to an hour. That's out and in. What really did it for me was that the last one I got was tested in front of me and it passed. Four days later it went kaput!

you sir are an *** stop buying Chinese junk and buy a quality alternator, your car has additional problems that need to be addressed and it's more than the alternator

Guest

Sounds to me that there is something wrong with your car and it is killing alternators. You do realize that it is the year 2014 and your car is 24 years old.A 1990 Volvo 240 is ideal for the scrap yard, not a daily driver.

some parts autozone can get is a vendor direct part. autozone sometimes has no control if the vendor cancels the order due to being out of stock.

the manager at the store should call you and issue a refund.

i know its disappointing because you need the part, but sometimes its out of autozones hands. have a great day

Those "refund cards" as you call them are actually store merchandise cards issued when someone returns something without a way of proving you actually purchased it. The credit stays on there for 2 years. To me, that isn't really all that sudden.

And this is first time time you have ever heard of this happening? You really don't get out much do you.
