Autozone - Auto Part Review from Edgewater, New Jersey

I was very dissatisfied with my experience at autozone, save for the employee who actually helped install my car part in the parking lot. However, one of the managers who was ringing me out, included 2 smaller parts "necessary" for the installment. While the parts were rather inexpensive, the fact that I was told they weren't needed, after I left the store, makes me very unlikely to return. After leaving, I was told by another automotive part dealer that neither of the items were needed. I was also never given the opportunity to select which piece I could comfortably afford, before I was rung out for an item that was almost $50 more than the part I wanted and knew, for a fact, was in stock, and in your online catalogue. I also inquired about the possiblity of the battery being recharged, prior to purchase, of a brand new one that was way more money than I wanted to spend, and it was never even acknowledged. Not only did I get the battery recharged after I left, the fact that the manager and other employees refused to honestly tell me what I could have tried, makes me more than likely to never set foot in the store again.

First of all your review makes no sense what so ever.Second, parts stores do not charge batterys, repair shops charge batterys.Part stores only sell batterys, every intelligent person in the universe knows this. And last of all it is against the law to work on a car in a public parking lot,if the EPA were called then you would get fined for any oil or chemical on the ground around your car. This is why signs are posted prohibiting any repairs.Dumb ***.

That and the fact that nobody gives a *** about your old beater and a minimum wage worker with no automotive experience should not be working on cars it's as simple as that

The automotive belts do not hold up in everyday use. They are basically 3,000 mile wonders.

After that, the belt will stretch past its usefulness and start to squeal or come apart on you. This can cause costly repairs if someone is not watching their belts carefully. I tried to return their Duralast belt and the management said it was past it's one year warranty. I advised them not to buy these belts for their cars and they had to agree they would not want them on their automobiles.

Autozone belts are no good and their hose clamps will round off and not tighten down on hoses. Their automotive belts and hose clamps are inferior quality and you will be sorry if you purchase them from Autozone.

I too was a aurozoner and agree. No pay or "room to grow" like they say. I was pretty much forced out because evaluations coming up and there is about 5-6 store managers at my local meaning scraps would be lucky. Also the mgmt was terrible at scheduling, norm is Ties...

autozone is a good company to work for. if you work hard and show determination then you can be promoted.

i know a gentleman who was with the company only 2 years before he was promoted to store manager, and he was only 24. he just came in and worked hard and took care of every customer that came in the door, even ones who had bad experiences he went out of his way to make sure they were taken care of and was back to being happy with autozone.

hard work pays off. have a great day
